Tyler Ahrendt, CPA, CFA  |  ALM Consultant


Tyler joined the firm in 2018.  Previously, Tyler worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a commissioned Risk Management Examiner with official titles including Senior Large Financial Institutions Examiner, Financial Institution Examiner, and Financial Institution Specialist.  During his tenure at the FDIC, he worked in small community banks, mid-size regional banks, and some of the largest multinational banks in the country.  Tyler was an FDIC Field Office Capital Markets Subject Matter Expert and has extensive experience leading complex interest rate risk management, liquidity and funds management, investment securities, and mortgage banking reviews. He also has experience evaluating corporate governance, model risk management, enterprise risk management, capital stress testing (including Dodd-Frank Act stress testing reviews), and other data intensive and model-based analyses.

Tyler earned a M.S. Economics at South Dakota State University (SDSU).  He also completed his undergraduate degrees at SDSU earning a B.S. Mathematics, B.S. Geographic Information Science, and a minor in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude.  He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Seattle.  Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
